interest is usually connected to their

future they are the workers in the

universities their interest doesn’t lie

with the working classes but with the

future that will be given to them after

getting in so to speak trouble so in the

students join the peace

movement the V anti- Vietnam protest and

the workers struggle that was something

imagined by theorists and philosophers

shift then put two constituencies

rights and people who

otherwise would have become part of the

elite group whose job it was to control

standing in support of the Palestinian

who wants and who has advocated for the

absolute independence of people of

Palestine and their right to live a

dignified life right without being

dictated by Israeli armed forces or

anyone else in the world as to how they

must conduct their lives that’s what my

stance has been on this channel but also

all my life what is so significant about

it what’s significant about it is that

as soon as the invasion of Gaza started

there were public protests huge

protests right in DC in all the major

cities of United States but that was

people like you and me right right who

have lived their lives and maybe are not

much worried about careers right and

whose lives weren’t so precarious but

when the students join

in these are the

people who have a lot at stake their

Futures and if they are disregarding

that and standing for justice and peace

for Palestinian people that is

significant that means that the Young

Generation and I have always placed my

hopes in the Young Generation that the

young generation’s moral thinking is so

strong in their sense of justice is so

powerful that they are ready and willing

imperil their own

futures for the cause of a people across

the ocean

being oppressed and denied their right

to exist peacefully and that they are

morally so

aware that they can put their own future

at risk to stand for the Palestinian

the Palestinian people in Gaza who are

being starved and the Palestinian people

in the West Bank who are constantly

under slow and violent onslaught of the

movement if these young

people who have so much at

stake can take a stand for

Palestine then not only do they deserve

our respect they also deserve our

solidarity right our words in their

favor we putting our bodies along IDE

them in this massive

movement that is Shifting American

politics so how is it shifting American

politics people think that American

politics is deeply complex but it’s not

there are two major political

parties the Republicans and the

Democrats the Republicans have more of a

stable base and the reason for that is

that they have a whole

of by and large most of the rural areas

of United States and by and large

most religious-minded people I’m not

all vote

Republican they are less worried about

base Democrats on the other hand have a

more complex base there are more

constituencies that the people running

for Democratic offices have to think of

that the prop Palestinian movement has

been a powerful

constituency no presidential candidate

or a Senate candidate has probably ever

millions upon millions of American

people have shifted that

perception the Democratic party now we

already know that the Progressive

Democrats are

already in favor of the rights of

Palestinian people but even those who

are not Progressive

Democrats I can promise you are right

now thinking about this

because here is the thing the

Progressive Democrats might not have

large

numbers we may not be the

majority but we are powerful voting

blocks in every state in every contest

including the presidential

election and

now that students and they’re not just

Palestinian students please bear in mind

there are Jewish students with them

there are American students from every

Walk of Life in ethnicity with them this

is not just an Arab or Muslim movement

right these students now have started

something that is spreading to other

campuses and history teaches us that

once the students get involved in a

movement because they have so much at

stake once they get involved in a

movement it is very hard for the powers

that be to put down that movement so how

is the politics shifted because of this

movement it’s shifted because every

single Democrat who’s running in urban

areas of United States will have to

confront questions about their stance on

Palestinian

lives and will have to con convince

people that when people of Gaza were

killed they did

something and that they have a future

plan for the for a peaceful and

dignified future for the Palestinian

people these will become the issues that

these people will have to address

because of this student movement now as

I’m watching these protests I can

already see what is being Unleashed

them okay there are

politicians speaking about there needs

to be peace on campuses and the

university presidents must do more some

of these politicians are the same

politicians who had no qualms about

people marching on the US capital and

rans sacking

it then there are others who are telling

us the campus need to be secure for

Jewish students absolutely they need to

be secure for all

students and that’s what will be

Unleashed against these student

movements and groups

11:44

right so that’s why they need to be

cautious they need to be careful their

rhetoric has to be rhetoric of peace and

not of retaliation especially of

retaliation against people who might be

11:58

opposed to them them there might be

people right across the street from you

who are from the opposing group it’s

okay I think if the student movement

remains focused on the significance and

importance and dignity of Palestinian

lives and does not get engaged in any

rhetoric in any way that could be

construed as hateful if they are led by

love of the Palestinian people

people nothing can defeat them and that

is the only advice I will give the

organizers and the student leaders is be

mindful of your

words Infuse your movement with love and

don’t let hate enter it because the

moment it becomes hateful the forces

array against you will start labeling

you they’re already doing that so as I’m

recording the students are being

arrested faculty members are being

arrested and that is tragic

but it’s a powerful message it’s

something that the mainstream media can

no longer neglect they have to report it

Gathering statistics and

arresting and labeling will change

American politics and will force you to

acknowledge that what Israel is doing in

the occupied territories and what Israel
