I do very much appreciate those of you who add greater detail and clarification to my discussions for the public’s benefit, as well as more advanced information for those who might be interested. I thank you for your contributions.

Basically, the problem for me is twofold: Time and usefulness. I’m very busy these days, and as I said, advanced material is not necessary to what I’m trying to accomplish with my limited time available. That being said…

But, as I said last month in a post on Facebook, the public does not need to understand things like regression analysis before it can properly do its civic duty at the ballot box. Thus, I don’t go into these subjects. Well, sometimes I do, but not frequently.

Now, occasionally, I will discuss intermediate and some advanced topics. I can’t help it. I like doing it. So, an added bonus for those interested in going deeper.

There is still much more to do, and many members of the public still to reach. Therefore, on social media, I continue on with presenting the basics for this reason. And to do that, some deeper info must necessarily fall by the wayside.

So, yeah, we’ve come a long way compared to where we were in 2009-2010. Achieving this level of success in such a short time is a magnificent feat.

The MMT community has grown exponentially and MMT itself is everywhere. The orthodoxy cannot cope, politicians are starting to come out, we are on the cusp of political acceptability.

Each of us contributes to the whole for the betterment of society and for the world around us. There is no doubt that immense progress has been made.

And, we’ve succeeded, haven’t we? Aye, we have. All of us, together, from us pros and academics, to activists, students, and members of the public – we all have a job to do based on our knowledge, experience, and talents.

So, like a few others, I decided to take the case directly to the people and effect change that way. At the time, I didn’t know precisely how I would present the material, but I did know it was the best path for success, as did others.

Effecting change by convincing the orthodoxy is a pointless task. One would have better luck going out and clearing the leaves from your garden by picking them up with your arse cheeks.

Anyone who has spent time in this profession knows that reaching orthodox professionals and academics is difficult. In 2010 and before, it was totally impossible. A lost cause.

My purpose is clear: Empower the public to properly do its civic duty at the ballot box and bring about change. Or, said another way:

To ensure that the general public becomes immune to mainstream bullshit.

Since I began in 2010, my intent has always been to reach the general public with simple, basic information regarding how the monetary system actually works, in a language they can understand.

Labour has failed to challenge the fantasy economics of the Tories and will continue to fail the British people until it begins promoting a new economic narrative; one that adheres to the information contained herein. Thank you. That will be all for today.

To do so, the Tories use the UK govt’s currency-issuing and regulatory authority to direct spending at, and to privatise public services for the financial benefit of, corporations, the financial sector and the wealthy.
