Either way, GOVT deficits *add* dollar assets to some other part of the economy. They are neither bad nor good, in and of themselves. The relevant questions are (1) deficits for whom & (2) are they serving the broad public purpose?

With respect to the GOP tax proposals, the answers are clearly (1) for corporations and wealthy individuals & (2) not remotely.

Money doesn’t flow *through* the government. US dollars flows FROM the government into the economy.
