Bill Mitchell-ek berriz: Greece goes back into depression – having never left it1.
Aste honetako Greziako albiste guztiek Finantza Ministroak Eurotaldeko presidenteari bidalitako eskutitzan (– Letter –) jarri dute arreta, non Yanis Varoufakis-ek zazpi (7) erreforma proposamen aipatzen dituen.
Aldiz, ardura askoz handiago izan behar zuten Eurostat-ek plazaraturiko datuek (National Accounts estimates) non aipatzen den 2014ko azken hiruhilabeteetan Grezia, berriz ere, depresioan sartu dela. (Hobeto esan, noiz irten zen Grezia depresiotik?).
Langabezia handitu da, horixe da Eurotaldeak heldu beharko liokeeneko afera. Haien hitzez, sektore esportatzaileak hazkundea lortu behar zuen. Aldiz, 2014ko azken hiruhilabeteetan murriztu da.
Noiz arte itxaron behar du Greziako jendeak “before the trade-led recovery nonsense is consigned to the nonsense bin?”
Mitchell joan den abenduan aritu zen Greziako ‘hazkunde’ ekonomikoaz, ilusioa zela salatuz: Alleged Greek growth could be an illusion.
Ondoko irudian ikus daitezke langabezia tasa ofiziala (urdinez) eta langabezia tasa egokitua (lanindarraren partizipazioa kontuan edukiz, gorriz).
Antzeko datu kezkagarriak ikus daitezke Mitchell-en artikuluan, BPG-ri dagokionez.
Kontua, beraz, ez datza Varoufakis-en zazpi puntuei so egitean, 2008tik Greziak jasan duen enplegu masiboaren galera izugarriari aurre egitean baizik.
Hortaz, Eurotaldeari luzatu behar zaion mezua hauxe da, Mitchell-en iritziz:
1. The current policies are not working and are causing further damage.
2. How long do they have to wait to understand that the so-called internal devaluation measures – cutting wages, pensions etc has only engineered a damaging deflationary spiral with entrenched depression and has done little to improve export competitiveness.
3. So when is this cruel hoax going to end? It certainly will not end if the Greek government agrees to any more austerity.
Ondorio gisa, Mitchell-ek hoberena eta gaurkoena ekartzen digu. Izan ere, hona hemen haren hitzak:
“Konturatu naiz Greziako gobernuko politikari batzuk ari direla hitz egiten nolabaiteko erreferendun bat egiteaz hurrengoan zer egitekoari buruz, baldin eta Eurotaldearekiko negoziazioek porrot egiten badute.
Hori egin baino lehen, Greziako jendeari informatzeko, beraiek heziketa publikoko kanpaina bat eratu beharko lukete, eurogunean segitzeak zer suposatzen dion aipatuz:
1. Inconsistent with their desire for a return to prosperity.
2. Not necessary for them to remain a part of the greater European narrative and all that that brings (relative to military coups etc).
The problem is that the Syriza leadership doesn’t even accept 1. and 2., so what hope is there?”

Greek Finance Minister rejects possibility of withdrawal from Eurozona:
http://sputniknews.com/politics/20150310/1019279661.html#ixzz3TyU3vSzQ
“Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis has stressed that his country does not intend to leave the Eurozone and all speculations to the contrary are harmful to the ongoing negotiation process with the creditors.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Varoufakis said that he never expressed support for withdrawal from the Eurozone (Grexit) in his Saturday interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper, but only said that “hypothetically”, Greece would have to hold elections or a referendum if the Eurogroup rejects the current leadership’s reform proposals in the debt negotiations.
According to Varoufakis, the newspaper interpreted his words incorrectly, claiming that he expressed support for a referendum in favor of Grexit.”
