Today, I took the first step in creating the MMT University which will open for tuition later in 2017 – more later – http://www.mmtuniversity.org/

2017 urt. 8

Welcome to the MMT University2

In September 2017, the MMT University will be launched and open for enrolments.

The MMT University will offer on-line, interactive tuition in Modern Monetary Theory in partnership with the leading proponents of MMT across the Globe

Students will receive first-class tuition from well-known professors in small classes facilitated via an on-line video platform (real-time and pre-recorded) and will be able to access learning materials in digital and hard-copy formats.

The MMT University is a not-for-profit institution. It has no physical presence and does not hold itself out as an award-conferring educational institution under any national accreditation jurisdiction. It has no official status. It is a private training college that will short courses in MMT as a matter of public interest. It will operate in the long-standing tradition of the Free University (although some costs might be recovered).

Administration, available in August 2017

Enrolments, available from August 2017

Teaching Materials, availbale in August 2017

Here are some details about the text book – Modern Monetary Theory and Practice: An Introductory Text Book – which will be used in the first semester sequence offered by MMT University.

A new Intermediate MMT text Book by the same authors will be published by Macmillan Palgrave later in 2017 and will be used in the more advanced classes.

    MMT University

    (In http://bilbo.economicoutlook.net/blog/?p=35148)

“For those who follow my Twitter feed, know that yesterday I took the first step in creating a new educational organisation – the MMT University.
It is early days yet and I need to bring together a number of resources to make it happen. I have a good start already but we will see.
I do not intend at this stage to seek formal accreditation (from any national authority) as a degree-conferring educational institution.
Rather I plan to provide a vehicle to advance education in Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) by providing modular short-courses in theory and policy.
I will need to cover costs and we are working on a ‘business model’ right now, which will tell us how large tuition fees might have to be to make it sustainable. I expect they will be low and the aim is to make the access as inclusive as possible.
If anyone out there wants to pledge some funding as a capital injection please E-mail me. We need as much help as we can get.
More later on this project. I think it will be fun – sort of a return to Anarcho-Syndicalism – at least the worker education aspects of that.”
