What actually happened was Hitler’s cooperation with Britain, France, and Italy prior any non-aggression pacts with USSR.

The Munich Agreement (1938) was far worse than any non-aggression pact. It wasn’t just a diplomatic formality, it was an outright betrayal. Britain and France handed Hitler an entire sovereign nation, Czechoslovakia, without its consent. And not just any country, but the industrial and arms-manufacturing hub of Europe.

Meanwhile, Hitler had already signed a series of non-aggression pacts and diplomatic agreements with numerous other nations long before even speaking to the USSR:

When I was in Kiev at the start of the war. I was talking to a guy. He seemed like a nice guy. Out of nowhere, he started talking about white supremacy. And how it was a good thing. And how there were all these asian hordes that they had to fight back. And he hated the Russians too.
