In trying to get people to care about warmongering and imperialism what we’re really trying to do is get people to widen their circle of compassion to the furthest extent possible. To extend their care for the people around them to include caring about violence and abuse against people even on the other side of the world.

Everyone cares about themselves. Everyone who isn’t a malignant narcissist cares about their friends and immediate family. Once you start caring about your community you’re generally thought of as a decent person, and when you care about your whole country you’ll be regarded as compassionate and politically aware. Rarer than all these is having compassion for everyone in the world, and feeling the same about someone being killed by one of your government’s soldiers in an impoverished country overseas as you would about someone being killed by police brutality in your own neighborhood.

Political awareness tends to stop far short of that point. It’s not hard to get people to care about tyranny that affects them personally or affects other people in their country, but getting people to think about the victims of your government’s starvation sanctions, drone bombs or proxy warfare is difficult. American progressives will happily focus on government abuses happening in their own country, but try getting them to look at the victims of their government’s abuses outside their borders and most of them get a bit squirmy.

This isn’t just because humans are tribal animals who are more inclined to care about their own group of humans than another, it’s also largely because the dominant information sources that westerners look to for information about the world are propaganda outlets which work to advance the information interests of the US empire. This means people are kept generally unaware of the cruelty and tyranny of the empire overseas, with their political attention being directed toward inconsequential narrative fluff like Trump’s mugshot.

Luckily for us, fighting the propaganda machine and working to expand humanity’s circle of compassion are not two separate tasks. Any effort to get people to pay attention to the abuses of western foreign policy helps weaken public trust in the propaganda machine which lies about those abuses, and any effort to weaken public trust in the propaganda machine helps the effort to expand people’s circle of compassion.

We’ve still got our work cut out for us, but what the hell else are we going to do? That’s the price of becoming a truly conscious species, which is the only way we’ll overcome our self-destructive tendencies enough to survive on this planet together. We’ve got to start caring about each other, and about all the other living creatures with whom we share this world.

As Einstein wrote in a condolence letter toward the end of his life,

“A human being is a part of the whole, called by us ‘Universe,’ a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security.”

Putin sends ‘strategic message’ to US and NATO

Russia has deployed Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles that President Vladimir Putin once said would make the world “think twice” before attacking.

Rebecca Koffler, president of Doctrine & Strategy Consulting and former Defense Intelligence Agency officer, told Fox News that the Russian president has put the country’s nuclear forces on special combat mode. In her opinion, he intends to use the “escalation to de-escalate” strategy. “Putin is clearly sending a strategic signal to the United States and NATO that the nuclear option for Ukraine remains on the table,” the expert stressed.

According to Koffler, the Kremlin will never be the first to use a nuclear weapon unless it detects signs that Washington, London or NATO are preparing to attack.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION, Russia has now put its most powerful and dreadful Sarmat Intercontinental Ballistic missiles on standby, ready for combat.

SARMAT Intercontinental ballistic missile popularly known and referred to as “Satan 2” in the west, is capable of carrying at least 10 nuclear warheads. This is the much talked about missile that can reach virtually any state in the U.S. and is said to have the capacity to almost sink all of New York City or Texas in minutes. It is currently the most powerful intercontinental ballistic missile in the world. This is verifiable. And now, Russia has been provoked enough to actually activate and put these destroyers on standby. So what happened?

The truth is, they’re losing big in AFRICA, they don’t see any serious respite in the nearest future and they know Russia is largely to blame for their losses on the continent, especially in the Sahel region…and to make matters worse, the much talked about Ukrainian counteroffensive isn’t going as planned. Even Ukrainians themselves have admitted this fact. That’s why Ukrainians are starting to almost solely rely on Drone attacks on sensitive Russian locations inside Russia/Moscow.

In the last few days alone, drone attacks in Russia have become so daring that if care is not taken, more sensitive, unbearable red lines could be crossed. In fact, in one of the recent drone attacks, Russians even believe the drone attacks may have originated from Estonia, a former soviet country now a NATO member state. And as it stands, if a NATO member state is confirmed to have allowed drone strikes on Russia from its territory, that’s a declaration of war on Russia by all of NATO and the U.S. and Russia has made it clear that it’s response to a NATO/western attack on its territory will be nuclear. Period! They know this, but they keep crossing the so called Russian “red lines.” Don’t forget the F-16 jets that Russia forbade them to send to Ukraine. Today, F-16s are heading to Ukraine. So, whatever makes Russia mad and brings it into a direct conflict with NATO/the west is welcomed. This is the plan.

At least, if ECOWAS isn’t acting in AFRICA, if their military is caged and can’t do anything at the moment on the continent, the delays and inactivity will wear them out and eventually weaken their resolve, implying their loss on the continent is cast on the stone. So, the best thing is to start something on the Russian axis so a nuclear war is activated, which ripple effect eventually trickles down to AFRICA and pretty much everywhere on earth – and then they can easily seize the opportunity to descend on AFRICA and attempt a military recolonization exercise. Sadly, they can’t read the handwriting on the wall – whether a nuclear war breaks out or not, Africa’s freedom in this season is not negotiable. The people are more ready than the colonial west is willing to admit. For mother AFRICA, it’s truly “Freedom-O-Clock!” And I don’t see anything or anyone changing this.
