The parade was great. Our military is incredible. And now @Israel needs our help to destroy Iran’s nuclear threat to the world.

Israel’s military and air force have sufficiently degraded Iran’s defenses such that this is now the lowest-risk, highest-probability moment to take out Iran’s nuclear capability, a grave threat to us all.

We should not let this opportunity pass, but Israel does not have the equipment and armaments to complete the job.

The Haifa Oil Refinery in northern occupied Palestine supplies more than 60% of Israel’s fuel needs, from gasoline and diesel to jet fuel for the Air Force.

With these facilities damaged in tonight’s Iranian attack, Israel’s will face a fuel problem.

This successful attack on Haifa’s refinery is a strategic blow to Israel’s economic and military backbone.

“Making a bomb” and “having the capacity to make a bomb” are two legally separate issues, the nuances of which are meaningless.

This was Iran’s strategic error: to engage in activities which, while legal, put them on the threshold of a capability prohibited by law.

You cannot wave the red flag in front of the Israeli/US Bull, and then cry “victim” when the Bull charges.

Iran shares responsibility for this conflict taking place.

Now it is the responsibility of Iran to create realistic conditions for ending this conflict.

Crush Israel.

Then accept a peace settlement that caps enrichment at 3.75% for domestic power production only.

Under IAEA Safeguards monitoring.

This would be an Iranian victory.

And once this victory is achieved, use Iran’s enhanced stature as the foundation upon which to push for a nuclear free zone in the Middle East, inclusive of Israel.

Keir Starmer is violating a clear constitutional convention by engaging troops in support of Israel.

As set out in the UK’s Cabinet Manual (2011), (para 5.38) there is a well-established expectation that Parliament should be consulted before committing UK armed forces to military action, except in cases of urgency.

There is no such urgency now – only silence.

The British public overwhelmingly opposes Israel’s actions in Gaza, according to YouGov polling. Yet Starmer would have our armed forces risk their lives in support of a state accused of genocide by the International Court of Justice and their leaders indicted at the ICC for war crimes without a single vote in Parliament.

This is a breach of constitutional convention, democratic duty, and moral integrity.

You were elected to represent the people. If the government won’t respect Parliament, Parliament must hold the government to account.

Demand a vote before British lives are put on the line for a foreign war the public does not support.
