0:11

welcome to this edition of

0:14

Ritter’s Rant uh today we’re going to be

0:18

looking into the ongoing Iranian

0:22

ballistic missile attacks against Israel

0:24

and the effectiveness or ineffectiveness

0:28

of the combined Israeli American

0:31

ballistic missile defense shield uh the

0:34

so-called enhanced iron dome uh that’s

0:37

been put up around Israel to protect

0:40

against these very attacks but we’re

0:42

just going to use that as a trigger to

0:44

talk about an even bigger issue and that

0:46

is ballistic missile defense in general

0:49

uh as everybody should be aware on May

0:52

20th uh President Trump announced that

0:55

he will be uh implementing uh the

0:58

so-called Golden Dome project a uh

1:01

massive ballistic missile defense shield

1:04

that he is going to have built over the

1:08

continental United States over North

1:10

America um that’s projected to be

1:13

finished by the time he finishes his

1:16

term in three years at a cost of just a

1:19

mere $175

1:21

billion

1:22

the a couple questions about that um one

1:28

will it even work can it work is it

1:30

possible to have a ballistic missile

1:32

defense system that justifies the

1:34

expense i mean if you’re going to spend

1:36

$175 billion on something it better damn

1:39

well work every time especially when

1:41

you’re talking about a ballistic missile

1:43

defense system that is going to create

1:47

strategic instability globally um

1:51

perhaps triggering our potential

1:53

adversaries to build ballistic missiles

1:56

that are designed to defeat this system

1:59

um and when we’re talking about

2:02

nations like the United States Russia

2:04

and China throwing ballistic missiles

2:05

about it’s not a game um it’s about

2:09

existential survival it’s about

2:11

strategic nuclear warfare so if you’re

2:14

trying to stop a missile with a nuclear

2:16

warhead on it uh it better work all the

2:20

time 100% of the time and here’s where

2:24

the Israeli experience comes in as we

2:27

speak Iran is launching missiles against

2:30

Israel and as has been played out

2:33

graphically live in Technicolor on video

2:36

screens throughout the world Israel’s

2:39

ballistic missile system is failing to

2:42

intercept not just most of these missile

2:45

but hardly any of these missiles the

2:47

Iranian missiles uh technologically

2:49

advanced many of them hypersonic most of

2:52

them having separating warheads a lot of

2:54

them having maneuvering warheads many of

2:56

them deploying decoys are defeating the

2:59

vaunted Israeli missile defense system

3:02

and it’s not just an Israeli missile

3:04

defense system this system has been

3:06

plugged into by design uh the ballistic

3:09

missile defense architecture of the

3:11

United States this means that our

3:13

satellites that are used to detect a

3:15

ballistic missile launch um our radars

3:18

that are mounted on ships and on the

3:20

ground the Aegis system on on American

3:22

ships deployed around Israeli waters on

3:26

the approaches to Israel um and on the

3:29

ground inside Xband radars belonging to

3:31

the THAAD system and we also have

3:33

Patriot systems uh deployed there uh

3:36

these are all linked together in a

3:38

multi-layered uh integrated

3:41

anti-bballistic missile defense system

3:43

and it’s not working not even close not

3:47

even close it’s very expensive it’s been

3:50

much touted the Israeli population was

3:52

led to believe that they will be safe

3:55

from the kind of attacks are taking

3:56

place and they have woken up to face the

3:58

harsh reality that there’s nothing that

4:01

can be done to save them from the

4:03

Iranian ballistic missile launches now

4:04

we don’t know how the Israeli Iranian

4:07

conflict is going to play out what we do

4:09

know is that Israel isn’t going to

4:13

prevail because it prevented Iran’s

4:15

missiles once having been launched from

4:18

impacting Israel it appears now that the

4:21

vast majority of Iranian missiles that

4:23

are launched from Iran will in fact hit

4:26

Israel and the evidence shows with

4:29

devastating impact so now

4:33

missile defense doesn’t work the best

4:35

missile defense systems in the world

4:37

most highly integrated missile defense

4:39

systems in the world aren’t doing their

4:42

job so what makes President Trump think

4:45

that the United States is going to do it

4:48

any better why is the Golden Dome going

4:51

to be better than the Iron Dome and

4:52

don’t tell me it’s because of the name

4:54

gold i mean President Trump may claim to

4:56

have the golden touch but let me remind

4:58

people King Midas had it too and it

5:01

wasn’t a blessing but a curse because

5:02

everything King Midas touched yes it

5:04

turned into gold but it also died and

5:07

when we’re talking about ballistic

5:08

missile defense dying isn’t the

5:11

objective and especially not for the

5:13

people that the Golden Dome is supposed

5:15

to be protecting the United States

5:16

doesn’t have a good track record when it

5:17

comes to ballistic missile defense you

5:20

know back in the 60s we thought that we

5:22

could build a ballistic missile defense

5:25

system that could protect us from Soviet

5:27

intercontinental ballistic missiles we

5:29

call it the safeguard system um I mean

5:32

this thing had giant you know missile

5:34

surveillance radars it had other little

5:36

radars plugged out there it had two

5:38

advanced interceptor rockets the Sprint

5:40

and the Spartan and um they

5:44

budgeted a lot of money to get it

5:46

installed but what they quickly found

5:47

out is as they were building this all

5:50

the Russians had to do all the Soviets

5:51

had to do is build more missiles and

5:54

build better missiles and build missiles

5:56

that had multiple warheads and build

5:58

missiles with multiple warheads that had

5:59

decoys and they would overwhelm the

6:02

safeguard system so that it didn’t

6:04

matter even if it worked perfectly the

6:07

bottom line is there weren’t enough

6:08

interceptor missiles for the amount of

6:10

Soviet rockets coming in but the other

6:12

problem was the sophisticated the

6:14

sophistication of the Soviet systems uh

6:17

were better than what the American

6:19

interceptors could intercept 100% of the

6:22

time it just wasn’t going to work so we

6:26

made a decision together with the

6:27

Soviets that rather than pursuing this

6:29

ridiculous arms race destabilizing as it

6:32

was we would sign the anti-bballistic

6:35

missile treaty um why

6:38

well see ballistic missile defense gives

6:40

you an artificial sense of security it

6:43

makes you believe that you’re hiding

6:45

behind a defensive barrier that can

6:47

protect you so you can get away with

6:48

doing a lot of things you can posture

6:50

yourselves aggressively um

6:54

but that’s expensive it doesn’t work so

6:57

instead we embrace something called

6:59

mutually assured destruction that is we

7:01

won’t have ballistic missile defense

7:03

that way both sides know that when they

7:05

launch their missiles they will hit

7:07

their targets the other side will be

7:08

destroyed but in the process the other

7:10

side will launch its missiles and will

7:12

be destroyed mutually assured

7:14

destruction that means that nobody

7:17

launches their missiles because

7:18

everybody knows if they do they all die

7:20

and it worked for a long time then came

7:23

9 well before even 911 there was the uh

7:26

1980s ronald Reagan came in and Ronald

7:28

Reagan believed that he was told by a

7:31

guy named Edward Teller who was the

7:33

father of the hydrogen bomb and he was

7:35

told we can build the perfect missile

7:38

defense system even though we had a

7:40

treaty that says we’re not allowed to

7:42

edward Teller convinced Donald Trump

7:43

that this could be done and thus was

7:45

born Star Wars the strategic defense

7:48

initiative and I mean they were going to

7:49

use advanced technologies no more sprint

7:51

and Spartan man they had brilliant

7:53

pebbles brilliant Pebbles was a

7:55

satellitebased system that was going to

7:56

be launched in the sky and as missiles

7:58

came up it was going to track them shoot

8:00

them down with lasers fire missiles at

8:02

them brilliant

8:04

but the problem is it existed only on

8:06

paper and the effort to turn theory into

8:09

reality was too expensive and the

8:12

technology simply didn’t exist and the

8:15

bottom line is that SDI never came into

8:18

fruition because we couldn’t afford it

8:20

and we didn’t have the technology to

8:22

back up the the theory so SDI died in

8:26

its place residual aspects of ballistic

8:28

missile defense stayed in remained in

8:31

place we called it the ballistic missile

8:32

defense organization uh we pursued

8:35

something called the groundbased

8:36

interceptor project um but it never

8:39

worked let’s just be honest with GBI it

8:42

doesn’t work it can’t work um it’s

8:45

hitting a bullet with a bullet but

8:47

because we couldn’t do that what we did

8:49

is we turned the target bullet into a

8:51

balloon and we painted it big and we

8:53

made a artificial radar uh projector so

8:56

that it could be hit and then we said

8:58

that was a success and so we fielded it

9:01

um and after 911 we decided we’re going

9:04

to make it operational because we had to

9:06

be defended against potential ballistic

9:07

missile attack and so George W bush

9:11

withdrew from the ABM treaty no more

9:13

mutually assured destruction now we’re

9:15

saying we can protect ourselves but it

9:17

never worked and it doesn’t work even

9:20

though it’s deployed today the GBI

9:22

system simply doesn’t work now we

9:25

enhanced it using the Aegis system the

9:28

SM3 SM6 missile combination with the

9:30

Aegis radars Sband radars Navy’s out

9:33

there we said this is a ballistic

9:34

missile defense shield but ask the

9:37

Israelis how well that’s worked because

9:40

that system right now is plugged into

9:41

the Israeli Iron Dome system and it

9:44

ain’t doing the job ain’t shooting down

9:46

the missiles doesn’t work can’t work

9:49

will never work but now Golden Dome

9:54

we’re talking about new technologies

9:55

going back to outer space we’re going to

9:57

violate the outer space treaty that says

9:59

you’re not supposed to militarize space

10:01

uh we’re going to create instability

10:02

regimes all over the place because even

10:04

though that system will never work the

10:06

Russians and the Chinese have to assume

10:08

that it will work so they’re going to

10:09

have to build a whole new generation of

10:11

missiles that are designed to defeat uh

10:14

a potential ballistic missile defense

10:15

system making our security even worse

10:18

for what first of all even if we could

10:23

do this $175 billion dollars is a

10:26

ridiculously low ball figure

10:29

in order to shoot down one missile or

10:32

one salvo of missiles using a

10:35

space-based system if the technology

10:37

worked to get the kind of coverage you

10:39

would need will cost us over $4 trillion

10:45

the kind of blanket coverage that is

10:47

envisioned with Golden Dome that number

10:50

goes up even higher into the tens of

10:52

trillions of dollars and it will take

10:55

decades to deploy this system if the

10:58

technology ever works golden Dome is a

11:00

fantasy a fantasy and a dangerous

11:03

fantasy and the last thing the United

11:05

States of America needs to do is invest

11:07

all this money in a time when we’re $36

11:09

trillion in debt we have a lot of

11:11

domestic problems at home health

11:13

education infrastructure that all could

11:15

use a giant infusion of taxpayer income

11:19

but instead we’re going to divert it to

11:20

a dream that is going to turn into a

11:22

nightmare not just the kind of nightmare

11:25

that has you waking up at night shaking

11:27

in fear that the real kind of nightmare

11:30

sort of like the kind the Israelis are

11:32

suffering now as they realize that go

11:34

that Iron Dome doesn’t work iranian

11:36

ballistic missiles are raining down on

11:38

them and there’s nothing they could do

11:40

to stop it we don’t want to be in that

11:42

situation ladies and gentlemen we don’t

11:43

want to wake up one morning thinking

11:45

that we had a missile defense system was

11:47

going to work only to find out that it

11:49

doesn’t work because the missiles that

11:51

will be coming in will be tipped with

11:52

nuclear weapons and they were all going

11:54

to die golden Dome it’s not an American

11:57

dream it’s an American nightmare thanks

12:00

Ritter’s Rant 004

Transkripzioa:

[Music]

0:12

hello and welcome to this edition of

0:14

Ritter’s Rant Today gets a little

0:17

personal You see um oh last week I had

0:21

uh started up a YouTube channel the idea

0:25

of which to um you know start generating

0:29

video-based products to continue the

0:32

mission of seeking to engage

0:35

constructively with as diverse uh an

0:38

audience as possible about important

0:40

issues of the day Um

0:43

YouTube decided that

0:46

some of the content that I’ve been

0:47

posting violates their terms of service

0:51

They’ve taken out two videos in

0:53

particular One uh one of the um episodes

0:57

of Trump Watch uh the episode that dealt

0:59

with uh intelligence uh my interview

1:02

with Larry Johnson Now what’s curious is

1:05

that Larry Johnson has been interviewed

1:07

by any number of YouTube-based platforms

1:11

Um you know Judge Npalitano Nema Rostami

1:15

um and others Um I have too and YouTube

1:19

has no problem if uh I’m being

1:22

interviewed or if Larry’s being

1:24

interviewed and Larry may have his own

1:25

YouTube channel for all I know Um but

1:28

when the two of us come together and uh

1:30

we create a coherent product and put it

1:33

out on YouTube it suddenly is a

1:36

violation of their terms of service

1:39

And then they went and took down an

1:42

episode of the Russia House my interview

1:45

with Pavo Balabonov in which we

1:47

discussed the upcoming US-Russia Citizen

1:50

Summit Gee what a controversial topic

1:54

Dialogue between nations promoting peace

1:56

over conflict But somehow this too was a

1:59

violation of YouTube’s terms of service

2:03

and they took the video down Now fear

2:05

not the product is available uh on my

2:07

Substack uh the Trump watch uh issue can

2:10

be reached there and so too can the

2:12

interview with Pavo Balabanov Um but

2:15

that’s not the point The point is

2:19

YouTube

2:21

is being very very discriminatory in

2:24

what they’re allowing their audience to

2:26

see And this has nothing to do with

2:28

sensitive topics anti-semitism

2:31

um promoting aggression Hell we were

2:34

talking about peace and they took it

2:36

down Uh and this happened simultaneously

2:40

the taking down of Pavo Balabano’s

2:42

interview simultaneously with the

2:44

decision by the US State Department to

2:47

uh stop participating in negotiations

2:51

with Russia about improving relations uh

2:54

a meeting that was scheduled to take

2:56

place has been summarily cancelled

2:58

without any explanation by the US state

3:01

department at a time when uh the the

3:05

importance of such dialogue could ever

3:07

be more manifest I mean we are talking

3:09

about a conflict in Ukraine that has the

3:13

danger of becoming you know the the the

3:16

precursor for a world war And we have an

3:18

actual world war taking place in the

3:20

Middle East right now where Israel and

3:22

Iran have faced off but they’re each

3:23

gathering their own supporters including

3:26

the United States uh possibly joining in

3:29

on the side of Israel Gosh Russia said

3:32

they could be the mediator you know

3:33

promote peace but apparently that’s not

3:37

part of the plan for the Trump

3:38

administration and that’s not something

3:41

YouTube will allow to be discussed We

3:44

live in a very dangerous time when

3:45

censorship has become um the norm Free

3:49

speech is something that is not you know

3:52

widely embraced in this country anymore

3:55

You know my concern is since YouTube

3:57

functions as a de facto arm of the

3:59

United States government that the

4:01

decision to take down the interview with

4:03

Pabo Balabanov may be a precursor to a

4:06

larger decision by the US government to

4:08

once again suppress voices who dare

4:10

speak out in favor of peace between

4:12

Russia and the United States Well let me

4:16

just make it clear I’m not going to be

4:18

silenced I’ll continue to speak out And

4:21

the USRussian citizen summit is taking

4:24

place on June 18th in Kingston New York

4:27

as scheduled There’s not a damn thing

4:29

the United States government can do to

4:31

shut it down other than sending 40 FBI

4:34

agents back to my house and putting me

4:36

under arrest And if that’s what they

4:38

want to do so be it But I’m not going to

4:41

shy away from my duty and responsibility

4:43

as an American citizen to promote peace

4:46

over war and to engage in free speech

4:49

that is protected under the Constitution

4:51

of the United States That’s my rant

4:54

Thanks for tuning in and if I’m still

4:56

here I’ll see you on the

0:11

hey this is scott ritter and welcome to

0:13

ritter’s rant today i’m going to be

0:15

talking about uh mr gross he is the

0:18

director general of the international

0:20

atomic energy agency and basically i’m

0:23

making the pitch that gross’s got to go

0:27

um you know gross is the man who has

0:29

been at the uh the head of the

0:32

international atomic energy ay’s

0:34

interface with the iranian government

0:37

over the iranian nuclear program the

0:39

iaea inspectors are carrying out uh not

0:42

just the safeguards uh inspections which

0:45

are part of the original agreement

0:46

signed between iran and the iaea um back

0:49

when iran became a member of the

0:52

non-prololif nuclear non-prololiferation

0:54

treaty but also the additional protocols

0:57

and other uh enhancements that were put

0:59

in place because of the joint

1:01

comprehensive plan of action you know

1:03

the agreement that barack obama

1:05

negotiated with the iranian government

1:07

back in 2015 and then donald trump

1:09

withdrew from precipitously in 2018

1:13

um the iranians gave america a year to

1:15

figure out what they wanted to do but in

1:17

2019 iran said if the united states and

1:20

europe aren’t going to be serious about

1:21

the joint comprehensive plan of action

1:23

then they’re going to start to reduce

1:25

you know their adherence to the

1:27

restrictions that have been placed on it

1:29

today

1:30

there are no restrictions but it’s worse

1:32

than that you see today israel who’s not

1:36

a signatory to the mpt and not subjected

1:39

to international atomic energy agency

1:41

inspections but who has a nuclear

1:43

program including a weapons program i

1:45

think the most recent analysis that came

1:47

out 90 nuclear weapons are in the

1:49

israeli arsenal um israel is attacking

1:53

attacking iran bombing nuclear

1:56

facilities this is a violation of

1:58

international law like you’ve not seen

2:00

before you know who should be concerned

2:02

about this the international atomic

2:04

energy agency and gross you remember

2:06

when uh when the ukrainians launched

2:08

drones and fired artillery into the

2:10

zaparisia nuclear power plant uh how

2:13

alarmed the iaa was my god they said

2:17

russia was attacking it and they bought

2:18

into the ukrainian nonsense they sent a

2:20

team to zaparisia turned out russia

2:22

wasn’t but the iaa couldn’t say it for

2:24

political reasons but they knew but my

2:26

god this was the most dangerous thing in

2:27

the world

2:30

an attack on a nuclear power plant the

2:33

world was ready to intervene gross was

2:35

talking about international forces

2:37

coming in and securing the facility

2:39

because to attack a nuclear facility is

2:41

a gross injustice putting the entire

2:44

world at risk

2:46

but gross is sort of silent right now

2:48

yes he’s issued some very milktoast type

2:50

statements but where’s the condemnation

2:53

where’s the iea running to the security

2:56

council demanding security council

2:58

action to make the perpetrators of this

3:02

attack stop not existent meanwhile

3:05

israel is attacking numerous nuclear

3:08

facilities some of which have resulted

3:10

in the release of radiation

3:12

and they’re talking about bringing in

3:14

even bigger bombs to complete the

3:16

destruction total silence and i want to

3:18

remind everybody that israel is not a

3:21

party to the npt and yet they’re the

3:23

ones calling the shots they’re the ones

3:25

carrying out the aggression iran who is

3:28

a party to the npt who has been

3:30

compliant with its obligations under the

3:32

mpt

3:33

is being treated as if they’re the

3:35

villain here instead of the victim and

3:38

the man to blame is the director general

3:40

gross he

3:44

has been a party to this conflict in

3:47

more ways than one under his direction

3:50

the iaea inspectors have become a de

3:53

facto extension of the intelligence arms

3:56

of the united states great britain

3:57

france germany and israel gce himself

4:01

has a close and continuous relationship

4:04

with israel where he shares sensitive

4:06

information about iran’s nuclear

4:09

infrastructure information that has been

4:11

used by the israelis to target and

4:13

destroy this infrastructure

4:16

iran today announced that they are

4:19

suspending all relations with the iaea

4:22

they have not yet taken the step to

4:24

withdraw from the nuclear

4:25

non-prololiferation treaty now many will

4:28

condemn iran for this action but how

4:30

could they possibly continue to have a

4:33

relationship with an organization which

4:36

has been so thoroughly corrupted by the

4:39

israeli government by israeli

4:40

intelligence by the united states

4:44

these inspectors go into sensitive

4:46

facilities and they come out and they

4:48

relay what they have seen to the

4:52

intelligence services of nations openly

4:55

hostile to iran and gci has colluded

5:00

with israel the united states and others

5:03

to provide political cover for this

5:06

attack the release of a a report saying

5:09

that iran is not compliant with its

5:11

obligations leading to a board of

5:13

director uh resolution condemning iran

5:17

on the eve of israel’s decision to

5:19

attack the handinand glove relationship

5:21

is clear the cause and effect

5:22

relationship is clear and if you read

5:25

the iaea report there’s nothing in there

5:28

that constitutes a smoking gun against

5:30

iran it’s just a continuation of the

5:32

kind of uh intelligence-based narrative

5:35

promagated by israel trying to create

5:38

the false impression of an iran seeking

5:40

a nuclear weapons program when the

5:43

international community hell the

5:44

american intelligence community says it

5:47

is not the iaea is a party to this

5:51

conflict gross is a party to this

5:54

conflict iran was right to shut down its

5:57

relationship with the iaea and now the

6:00

international community has told grosi

6:02

you got to go if there are going to be

6:05

iaea inspectors back to work in iran

6:07

then the relationship between iran and

6:09

the iea must be reconfigured and one of

6:12

the key aspects of this reconfiguration

6:14

is that the iea must cease forever all

6:17

connectivity with israel until which

6:19

time israel becomes a party to the

6:21

nuclear non-prololiferation treaty and

6:23

opens it up its facilities to

6:25

inspections and its nuclear weapons

6:27

program to destruction israel cannot be

6:31

allowed to have nuclear weapons and so

6:33

long as israel does it should be treated

6:35

as the international pariah that it is

6:38

but there’s silence in the iea about

6:40

israel at the same time they are

6:43

colluding with israel to attack iran if

6:46

you want to save the nuclear

6:47

non-prololiferation treaty then you have

6:49

to reconfigure the relationship between

6:51

the iea and iran and israel cannot be a

6:54

part of this israel is the bad guy not

6:57

iran israel’s got to go not iran and

7:01

gross’s got to go that’s my rant i’ll

7:04

see you on the next one

Ritter’s Rant Ep. 6: Who Control’s the President?

Tulsi Gabbard is supposed to brief the President on all matter pertaining to intelligence. He says he doesn’t care what she says. Who is briefing the President?

Transkripzioa:

Hello and welcome to this edition of Ritter’s Rant. I’ve been watching Donald Trump and his behavior in regard to the ongoing Israeli-Iranian conflict. And I’ve been struck by a number of inconsistencies between the posture that he’s assumed today and the posture that he ran upon as a candidate. I mean, we all remember

candidate Trump telling us that it was a mistake for the United States to get involved in Middle Eastern wars that cost us trillions of dollars and thousands of lives and led to nothing good for America, that he as president would keep us out of such conflict.

Yet today we find ourselves on the cusp of yet another American war in the Middle East, this one against Iran. And again, I just wanna refresh people’s memory. When Barack Obama was the president of the United States in and around the time that there was a crisis surrounding the Iranian nuclear program,

and there was talk about potential American military action against Iran, Donald Trump was all over the internet condemning Barack Obama for any concept of going to war against Iran. But here we are with the president of the United States today basically taking ownership of the Israeli-Iranian conflict, speaking in terms of collective responsibilities.

We have control of the skies over Iran. We know where the supreme leader is hiding. Oh, we’re not going to kill him, but we know where he is. And demanding the unconditional surrender of Iran to whom? The United States? Are we at war with Iran to the point where the president is demanding unconditional surrender?

How do we get to this point? I mean, wasn’t just a few months ago that Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence was briefing the United States Congress on the national threat assessment. And when she was talking about Iran, she said, it’s clear as day that Iran is not pursuing a nuclear weapons program. And that, uh,

Iran has not made a political decision to possess nuclear weapons. In fact, the political decision is the exact opposite. She did not quantify Iran as a threat to the national security of the United States, especially a threat that’s premised on Iran’s hypothetical acquisition of nuclear weapons. This threat assessment still stands to this day.

It has not been contradicted with a new national intelligence estimate or a findings. And yet, when President Trump was confronted on Air Force One with the reality of Tulsi Gabbard’s assessment, he said, I don’t care what she says, that Iran has a nuclear weapons program. Where is the president getting his information? Who is briefing the president?

Tulsi Gabbard is the director of national intelligence is singularly responsible for this task. It is her duty. by law to brief the president. After all, she was the one who was ratified by the United States Senate. The United States Senate, acting on behalf of the American people, said, we anoint you as the person responsible for this task.

And yet the president says he doesn’t care what she says. That means he doesn’t care what the U.S. Intelligence Community is saying, which begs the question, whose information does he care about? We know that Israel has been making a case that Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapons program. As the president of the United States of America,

allowing the Israeli government, allowing Israeli intelligence to run an endgame around the director of national intelligence and brief the president directly. As an American, I would take umbrage at that very notion that a foreign power has taken the lead in briefing the President of the United States on matters that pertain to war. And again,

I want to remind the United States Congress that the Constitution vests in Congress in a singular fashion, the ability to take the nation to war. And now we have a commander in chief who appears to be held hostage by foreign intelligence, taking his briefing from them acting on it without consulting Congress?

Has he come to Congress and asked for a declaration of war? I mean, he is asking for unconditional surrender. Has he asked Congress for the power to go to war so that we could accept that surrender? These are very dangerous times. We have a president who’s acting more and more like an out-of-control dictator,

a man who operates in direct contravention to the Constitution and to the notion of democratic due process. Tulsi Gabbard is the director of national intelligence. She’s the one the president should be listening to. If he’s unhappy with her advice, then he should fire her and find somebody else to do that job.

But at the end of the day, the person briefing the president of the United States on information that pertains to the potential use of American military power in a warlike situation must be the director of national intelligence, an American citizen whose position has been approved by the Congress of the United States, not some secret,

unnamed foreign intelligence operative whispering sweet nothings into the president’s ear. This is a very dangerous situation. America finds itself on the edge of the abyss, where we are about to enter into yet another Middle East conflict that will cost us trillions, cost us thousands of lives,

and take us nowhere closer to the notional objective of peace and prosperity for the American people. America first has been transformed into Israel first, and this should be unacceptable to all Americans. That’s my rant. I’ll see you next time.
