In September 2002 I traveled to Iraq for the purpose of trying to get the Iraqi government to allow the unconditional return of UN weapons inspectors.
One of the largest hurdles I was faced with was Iraq’s refusal to deal responsibly with Israel.
I got around this by telling Iraq’s leadership that they cannot be more Palestinian than the Palestinians—if the Palestinians were willing to talk with Israel about the future of Palestine, the Iraq couldn’t use the cause of Palestine as an excuse not to live in peace with Israel.
Today I listened to Hassan Nasrullah speak about the situation in Gaza.
Many people were hoping that he would open a second front against Israel.
But Nasrullah wisely decided that Hezbollah could not use the cause of Palestine to usurp the goals and objectives of Hamas, that now was not the time for the strategic defeat of Israel, but rather the strategic victory of Hamas based upon the vision of Hamas—freed Palestinian prisoners, an Al Aqsa Mosque free from Israel deprivation, and a legitimate Palestinian homeland.
Nasrullah pointed out that the path to victory is through perseverance, not escalation. Nasrullah is a true strategic thinker, and a genuine diplomat.
He has earned the appreciation of all peace-loving people in the world. If only America aspired to such heights.

The Al-Shifa Convoy Massacre.
Norwegian doctor Mads Gilbert, who has worked in Al-Shifa hospital during Israeli attacks in 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2014, and is now in Cairo, confirmed what happened with his colleagues in Gaza.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) told the Israelis about a convoy of ambulances leaving the hospital, carrying several critically wounded people bound for Rafah.
At 5.05pm local time the Israelis bombed the ambulance convoy at 3 different points: at the hospital gate, 200m down the road and 500m down the road.
The Israelis have been threatening all hospitals in Gaza for 2 weeks now, non-stop. The order is to “evacuate”.
When the injured are in fact evacuated, they are massacred.
No comment necessary.

They unveiled a new law “that would allow Israel to strip individuals of citizenship if they express solidarity with terror groups or incite terror during times of war. The law would give the interior minister special war-time powers allowing them to remove the citizenship of individuals deemed to be supporting or encouraging terrorism. Rather than go to the courts, the minister would only need the approval of the justice minister”.
It obviously depends how they define “expressing solidarity with terror groups” but given the fact the interpretation of it seems to be at the discretion of the current government – bypassing due legal process in court – it’s fair to assume the definition will be very broad… For instance it’d be easy to make the case that someone who opposes the assault on Gaza for the enormous amount of civilian deaths is “expressing solidarity with Hamas”… At the very least, such legislation will likely intimidate people into not voicing opposition, for fear of it being interpreted that way by the current far-right Netanyahu government, who again would do the interpreting…

This image of the “dusty boy,” Omran Daqneesh, after he was pulled from the rubble in Aleppo, was splashed across the front pages of Western newspapers in 2016.
There are now thousands of dusty boys and girls in Gaza, but none have received the same prominent treatment Omran did from the Western press. And it’s clear why: the images of children suffering in Gaza cannot be exploited to further regime change against an official US enemy state. The limp bodies of Palestinian children carried in the arms of grief stricken parents expose the genocidal nature of the Zionist project, which would not survive for a second without its financial feeding tube in Washington. Their plight must be therefore be concealed, or framed as an unfortunate consequence of Israel’s “right to defend itself.”
Quite simply, they are unworthy victims whose cruel deaths interfere with the West’s objectives in the Arab world.
By the way, Omran’s family turned out to be Syrian government loyalists who resented the NATO-backed, Al Qaeda-aligned “rebels” who infested their city and campaigned for air cover from the US military. Omran’s father was so disgusted by Western media’s exploitation of this image that he turned to Al Mayadeen, a pro-resistance channel, to denounce them.

To day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to attack Crimea using 10 Storm Shadow, SCALP and 5V21P missiles from the S-200 air defense system. All missiles were destroyed in the air by air defense systems.
According to the Turks, when missiles were detected in the air, thanks to the previously captured Storm Shadow guidance devices, the Russian Armed Forces used electronic warfare systems, diverting them from a given route and altitude and directing them to a trajectory along which air defense systems could operate.
It is assumed that these measures, in addition to modernizing the air defense radar, made it possible to shoot down dozens of missiles, especially in recent weeks, but there is no official information yet.

Russia has mostly accomplished its territorial objectives, which is to repatriate Novorossiya and population. Russians will once again be able to live as Russians, free from molestation by the Kiev nazionalist regime. To make Novorossiya complete, Odessa and Kharkov must also be be restored.
A remaining key objective is neutrality for Ukraine. Unless that is on the table, I doubt Russia will be interested in negotiating.
